Despite my best efforts, the smell of the dog remained in the bedroom and on the couch. Even the realtor mentioned that it might benefit from a professional cleaning because of a faint dog odor. After discovering this, I made the decision to test it in the bedroom. The gel initially smells strongly, but it soon fades. There was no longer any dog odor soon! The realtor reported that she was no longer able to detect the scent, and no one who has been required to view the unit has mentioned any smells.
