Introduction to vacuum cleaners

Different types of vacuum cleaners

They are classed as dry hoovers, wet and dry hoovers, and carpet hoovers based on their purpose. Wet and dry vacuum cleaners employ a bypass-type waterproof motor and have a more sophisticated structure than dry vacuum cleaners. It can suck up liquids such as soap and water or multi-water foam filth in addition to having the same qualities and functions as a dry vacuum cleaner.

The operation of a vacuum cleaner

Motors that run on electricity. A hoover's electric motor is commonly utilized as a series-excited rectifier motor. This type of motor has a high rotational speed (more than 20,000r/min) under industrial frequency power supply, as well as a large torque and soft mechanical characteristics (the rotational speed rises quickly at no load and decreases when carrying a load), making it ideal for vacuum cleaner operation.
Accessories for vacuuming. Hoover accessories include dust hoses, extension tubes, nozzles, and so on; mufflers, which are frequently fitted to lessen the noise of hoovers at work; and suction adjustment devices, which are primarily accomplished by adjusting the speed of the hoover motor. The higher the motor speed, the stronger the suction power; conversely, the lower the speed, the lower the suction power; dust indicator, which is a component of the hoover used to signal if the dust collector is full of dust or the filter air condition. The dust indicator's operation is depicted in the diagram below.
