On the edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, along the Qilian Mountains, it is reminiscent of the majestic weather, reckless temperament, borders and expeditions... "Long Ge chases the tiger to the north of Qilian, and the horse draws blood pill." "I lost my Yanzhi Mountain and made my women colorless. I lost my Qilian Mountain, so that my six animals will not be rich." "Snowflakes are like Xi Deng Qilian, but when I return, I look at Dongfeng New Year."
The natural wonder of Qilian Mountain lies in its collection of forests, grasslands and glaciers. Generally speaking, if the altitude is above the 4,000-meter snow line, everything is icy and snowy. However, above the snow line of Qilian Mountains, there will be rebellious biological wonders. In the shallow snowy mountains, there are mushroom-shaped silkworms of snow-capped meadow plants, alpine snow lotus, and snow-capped grasses growing under wind-eroded rocks. Snow lotus, silkworm, and snow mountain grass are collectively called the "Three Friends of the Years and Colds" on the snow line of Qilian Mountains.
To appreciate the full picture of Qilian Mountain, as well as its majestic and awkwardness, aerial photography is an excellent way. The Qilian Mountains are the boundary mountain between the northeast of Qinghai Province and the west of Gansu Province. It is composed of multiple parallel mountains and wide valleys running northwest-southeast. It is more than 800 kilometers long from east to west, 200 to 400 kilometers wide from north to south, and at an altitude of 4000 to 6000 meters. There are 3306 glaciers in total.
We can only see a section of Qilian Mountain that is more than 800 kilometers long, and it is a very limited area. How can we fully appreciate the charm of the snow peaks, glaciers, wetlands, deserts and grasslands of the Qilian Mountains in the shortest time? The route of the civil airliner in the Qilian Mountains follows the mountains. Let us take the flight from Lanzhou Zhongchuan Airport to Dunhuang to get a glimpse of the Qilian Mountains.
About 80 kilometers to the east of Lanzhou Zhongchuan Airport and to the southeast of the Yellow River is the Loess Plateau. The northwestward ridge is the starting point of the Qilian Mountains. Dunhuang we arrive is the end of the Qilian Mountains. The flight route is the entire Qilian Mountains. In an hour and a half, completing this air travel is like enjoying a visual feast.
As the passenger plane flew up to the clouds, the lofty mountains and ridges of Qilian Mountains were bright and pleasantly surprised.

Dozens of large and small lakes dotted around form a primitive wetland ecosystem; here is rich in animal and plant resources, forming a complete biological chain; surrounded by vast uninhabited areas, it has the most authentic natural beauty.
Hala Lake is an alpine hypoxic zone, no man's land, and animal and plant protection zone. The roads are rugged and dangerous, and it is difficult to get in and out without large off-road vehicles and good equipment.
Bayi Glacier. The Bayi Glacier of Qilian Mountain in Qilian County, Qinghai Province, is more than 200 kilometers away from the county seat and has an altitude of 4520-4828 meters. The blue sky, white clouds, and glaciers complement each other, making people truly amazed. Entering from the ground, the Bayi Glacier is like a mountain top of snow and ice, forming an ice cap.
